Hard time finding time to read?
We all know the feeling that we have to, or want to, read something, but cannot find enough time to do it. Whether it is a report from work, a study book or just a book about something we are really interested in or about a hobby we have.
And then end of the day you try to read while you are tired and you cannot remember what you have been reading even 10 minutes later.
If this is the case with you, like so many other people, the solution might be to have a look at a speed reading course. Most people think that you have to be some super human being to learn how to speed read, but basically everyone can learn this.
Speed reading have been around for a while. Most of the time people think it is not something that can benefit their life and that is why it is not very popular to follow a speed reading course.
But since you arrived on this website I assume that you would like to find out more about it.
Free or paid speed read course?
There are free courses online and dozens of sites with free tips and advice on how to speed read.
When you Google speed reading you can read for weeks and maybe even months about this subject.
But like anything else, free does not always give the results you are looking for. A paid solution is sometimes the fastest way of achieving something in life. Looking for free solutions can take forever and that makes it hard to keep on looking.
If you start a paid course the result starts almost immediately with the first lesson and it is easier to stay motivated and focused.
Does it work?
Like any other course or classes you take the result is most of the time depending on how much effort and energy you are willing to put in it. Remember the saying “practice makes perfect”?
Speed reading courses are not any different than any other thing you have learned before.
Is there Prove that it works?
There are many scientifically studies that prove that speed reading really works and not just for super intellectual people, but normal people like you and me.
Normal people who want to improve the time it takes to read anything.
How does reading works?
We have to remember how we were taught to read a kids in school.
We started with recognizing individual letters and then connecting the letters to make words.
What we had to do was say the letters out loud and later on we had to say the words out loud.
You remember the reading classes in school where you had to read up loud in front of the class?
Later they taught us to read in our head by “saying” the words.
This programmed our brain to connect reading with sounds.
If this is loud out or just in our heads that is the way we have been trained to do it.
Some people read, or should I say read out loud, faster than some others, but it still is the same process.
How does speed reading works?
We retrain our brain to read in a different way. Instead of reading “up load” in our minds we teach our minds to look at the text and comprehend without doing this “reading in our mind”.
This is not a process that we can learn overnight. Remember how long it took us to learn how to read?
This does not mean that learning how to speed read will take just as long, but it also tells us that it is not an overnight process, like I mentioned before.
That is why I mentioned the fact that there are many free sites, but that a paid course, in my opinion, is a better way of getting rid of our old way of reading and adapting the new method.
Is speed reading for everyone?
Although there is no reason to think that speed reading is not for you, we have to take some things in consideration.
One of the things we have to think about first is the kind of reading we do.
If you like to read for relaxation and to enjoy yourself, I think speed reading is not something you need.
Unless you want to be able to read your novels or books you like to read faster and be able to read more books in the same amount of time. That is a personal preference.
Who does speed reading?
Most people who use speed reading are in a work or study environment and have a “need” to read a lot of books. Again that does not mean that it is not for you or me as a normal reader. If you think it will give you a benefit just go for it and do it.
What is the best course?
